On March 24, 2021, the DSWD-NCR and DTI-NCR, both members of the Regional Advisory Council, signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen the partnership between the two Agencies in implementing convergence efforts on poverty alleviation of the 4Ps Beneficiaries in the National Capital Region.

The MOU resulted from the meeting between the Agencies last March 15, 2021, wherein DSWD-NCR and DTI-NCR mutually prioritized the high impact convergence projects and common interests of the beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilya anchored in the Kilos Unlad Case Management Framework, a 7-Year Social Case Management Strategy to guide the process of shepherding 4Ps Households to achieve an improved family well-being.

The MOU highlights the convergence of both Agencies in competencies, resources, strategies, and infrastructure aimed at poverty reduction. Specifically, community-based sustainable livelihood and development programs and services shall be provided to the beneficiaries.

The DTI-NCR commits to fulfill its role as Permanent and alternate representative of the Regional Advisory Council, while the DSWD-NCR will act as lead agency.

Both agencies affirmed that the partnership will be vital in achieving “Ambisyon Natin 2040”, a plan which was tailored to the Philippine Development Plan 2017-2022 with the goal of inclusive growth and poverty reduction in both National Government Agencies (NGAs) and with the cooperation of Local Government Units (LGUs)
