Despite the distance of the 22 household beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in Parañaque City, they managed to attend the activity in satellite locations to celebrate the Ceremonial graduation on November 11, 2021.

The blended ceremonial graduation featured 22 household beneficiaries – two (2) of which attended physically at Parañaque City Hall, Parañaque City and the remaining 20 households joined virtually via Zoom meeting conference.

The Program members were assessed to be self-sufficient households based on the latest results of the following: Social Welfare Development Indicators (SWDI) administration; assessment findings using the Kilos Unlad Case Management Tools; and revalidation output of the assigned case managers.

The activity was graced by the DSWD-NCR Regional Director Vicente Gregorio B. Tomas, Honorable Parañaque City Mayor Edwin L. Olivarez, Honorable City Vice Mayor Jose Enrico T, Golez, First District Representative Eric L. Olivarez, Second District Representative Joy Myra S. Tambunting, City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) Head Ms. Vivian A. Gabriel, OIC-Regional Program Coordinator Keren T. Jemina, and; Area Coordinator Glynice Morta-Yu. Moreover, the activity was also joined virtually by the National Program Manager Dir. Gemma B. Gabuya, Assistant Regional Director for Operations Lea Mae B. Swindler and; different Program partners and stakeholders of the 4Ps NCR.



In the activity, Parañaque City Mayor Edwin L. Olivarez commended the efforts of the families who strived hard in achieving self-sufficiency level of well-being. He wished to see an increase in numbers among the exiting families in the Program to celebrate the milestones and achievements of families who improved from the convergence efforts and packages of support the Department and the LGU continue to deliver.

“Matapos ang ilang taon ng pagtanggap ng tulong mula sa 4ps, sila ay matatapos na at pwede nang lumabas sa Programa. Nagpapasalamat po tayo sa DSWD-NCR gayundin sa ating City Social Welfare and Development office (CSWDO) at sa ating Local Advisory Council (LAC) sa pagtutok sa ating mga beneficiaries upang sila’y makatayo sa sarili nilang mga paa. Ipinapanalangin natin na mas marami pang matapos mula sa 4Ps sa ating Lungsod upang makapagbigay tayo ng bagong pagkakataon sa iba pang mga pamilya at indibiduwal na mas higit na nangangailangan ng tulong sa panahon ngayon.” Said Mayor Olivarez

Further, DSWD-NCR Regional Director Vicente Gregorio B. Tomas stressed that the activity was made possible through the convergence effort of the different Partner Stakeholders and the LGU of Parañaque City.

Meanwhile, one of the 22 beneficiaries, Nawieh L. Curia who exited the Program, was featured in the audio-visual Presentation (AVP) showcasing the positive impact of the Program interventions and assistance through Cash Grants and Family Development Session. The financial support from the Program made it possible for her children to enter universities and was able to sustain college education.

“Nagpapasalamat po ako sa 4Ps, sa malaking naiambag niya sa pamilya ko at sa mga anak ko na nakapag-aral po sila. Ang panganay ko po, magtatapos na po siya next year sa TUP Manila sa kursong Bachelors of Science in Civil engineering. Yung pangalawa ko po, sa PNU po nag-aaral bilang isang Guro at yung pangantlong ko po ay sa PUP Manila sa kursong AB Economics. Dahil po sa 4Ps, ito na sila ngayon maraming salamat po!” – Said Ms. Curia

The activity was capped off with a closing message from the City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) Head Vivian Gabriel as she expressed her gratitude to all the partners, stakeholders, employees, and all the individuals behind the implementation of the 4Ps in the LGU of Parañaque City. ##
