The Department of Social Welfare and Development National Capital Region (DSWD-NCR) held a ceremony celebrating the fulfilment of the new Kaunlaran Building. The structure was built to provide a safe and effective working environment for the employees of DSWD-NCR and to continuously deliver the service to the poor, vulnerable and disadvantage in the National Capital Region.
Among those who attended was Mandaluyong 1st District Representataive Cong. Neptali Gonzales DSWD NCR Regional Director Monina Josefina H. Romualdez, Asst. Regional Director for Operations Ms. Teresita Valentino, Assistant Regional Director for Administration Mr. Michael Joseph Lorico and the DSWD- NCR employees.
The inauguration started with a holy mass followed by the unveiling of the dedication plate for the new Kaunlaran Building and the Ribbon cutting. Cong. Gonzales expressed his gratitude towards the agency for inviting him to this momentous event “Good morning, I would like to congratulate all of you na nandirito, Mahalaga sa akin na ang mga building na ito ay magsisilbing bagong espasyo upang lalong mapagbuti an gating paglilingkod at pagbibigay ng serbisyo sa ating mga mamamayan, ako ay lubos na maligaya at ang Kaunlaran Building ay natapos na at inyo nang magagamit”. He stated.
Before formally closing the program the DSWD-NCR Regional Director gave her response on how she appreciated everyone who attend the activity and witness the significant event in the department, “It was indeed a special day for all of us- the management, especially to all the staff for being part of this celebration and witness the inauguration and blessing of our new Kaunlaran Building. Maraming salamat po s amga taong tumulong upang maisakatuparan ang lahat ng ito. To all the DSWD NCR staff, let us all continue serving with love and compassion. May we all be inspired and set as an inspiration to those whom we met along the way. Ipagpatuloy natin ang pagpapaabot ng serbisyong maagap at mapagkalinga.with the support of our dear secretary, let us all aim for betterment and continue exploring innovations, to continue serving with integrity , dignity and service excellence.” said RD Pinky.
This day also marked the kick-off activity of the 72nd Founding Anniversary of the department, products from the SLPA’s and CRCFs clients were showcased during the week-long celebration, the department also gave tribute and a posthumous award to the staff who served the department selflessly. ###
