The National Women’s Month Celebration has its roots in the recognition of International Women’s Day on March 8th, 2024, a historical event stemming from the organizing efforts of women. In the Philippines, the National Women’s Month Celebration has become a platform to spotlight women’s accomplishments and address ongoing and emerging issues related to women’s empowerment and gender equality. The focus is on concrete activities aligned with national and international agreements, including the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women. The day is an event to honor the contribution of women and acknowledge the efforts of women.
One of the NVRC’s possible partners, Cabalen Group celebrated Women’s Month by recognizing the effort of their employees/staff women. It is a day that makes the management acknowledge the importance and significance of women employees in their organization and recognition of their contribution to the company. One way of expressing gratitude to their staff is pampering in the form of Wellness Massage and Beauty Care.
On March 8, 2024, seven (7) NVRC trainees in the Massage and Beauty Care course were assigned to provide and perform Wellness Massage, Manicure, and Pedicure Services to a total of 50 female employees. According to them, it was their first time to receive such accommodation in their workplace. They felt relaxed and pleased which energized them to perform their work effectively.
Cabalen Group provided our trainees who provided the services with honorariums and tokens as their appreciation. This activity helps our trainees to demonstrate the skills and knowledge they acquire in the center and greatly boost their self-confidence. Aside from this, the company expressed its willingness to accommodate trainees for On-Job Training and employment.
This activity provided equal gains to both parties. This is only the beginning of fruitful partnership and at the same time achieved the objective to celebrate Women’s Month.
