The pursuit of our dreams embodies a brave expedition characterized by resilience and steadfast determination. It beckons us to defy conventions, confront obstacles, and thrive amidst setbacks. This pursuit demands self-assurance, the embrace of audacity, and perseverance in the face of challenges. It surpasses mere accomplishment, fostering self-exploration and cherishing the transformative voyage itself.

Niño Loren’s journey is a profound testament to the power of resilience and unwavering determination. Born with an intellectual disability, he has faced numerous challenges on his path to pursuing his dreams. Supported initially by the DSWD-NCR Reception and Study Center for Children, Niño later transitioned to Elsie Gaches Village for ongoing care and support.

Throughout his journey, Niño has exemplified a positive attitude and a deep-seated belief in the validity of his dreams. Despite the obstacles he has encountered, he remains steadfast in his pursuit of employment and independence. His story serves as a beacon of hope and inspiration to others facing similar challenges.

Niño’s journey of self-discovery and personal growth has been marked by significant milestones. He has demonstrated a strong commitment to education, eagerly embracing opportunities to learn and grow. His determination to finish his studies reflects his unwavering resolve to achieve his goals.

At Jose Fabella Memorial School, Niño’s academic excellence was matched only by his leadership qualities. Serving as a Peace Officer Supreme Pupil Government in his school, he not only excelled academically but also demonstrated exceptional social skills and a strong sense of leadership.

Niño’s path advanced significantly when he secured a job at UNIQLO, a testament to his dedication and work ethic. However, like many others, his employment was temporarily halted due to the pandemic. Despite this setback, Niño remains undeterred, continuing to strive for personal and professional growth.

After his discharge from Elsie Gaches Village, Niño embraced the challenge of independent living. He now works at Ellite Ads Corporation, where he assists in operating large format machines used for printing tarpaulins. Additionally, he is enrolled in an aftercare program at the City Social Welfare and Development Office in Carmona, Cavite, which provides him with a range of activities, including training, seminars, and sports involvement.

Niño’s story is a powerful reminder of the resilience of the human spirit. His unwavering determination and positive attitude have enabled him to overcome countless obstacles on his journey. As he continues to pursue his dreams, Niño serves as an inspiration to all those who know him, proving that with perseverance and a positive outlook, anything is possible.
