The Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) clients of the Rehabilitation Sheltered Workshop (RSW) exhibited their trendy canvass shopping bag during the 13th Regional Massage Seminar Conferences, held on May 4 – 6, 2016 at Century Park Hotel, Manila.

 

Edna Sacedor, Social Welfare Officer V and Head of RSW, was grateful on the public who is patronizing the product made by PWDs. She said, “We are very happy on the positive response of our customers. It made our clients to be more inspired in improving their crafts and skills,” She added that the canvass bag is part of their support on saving the nature because it uses environment-friendly materials. It also promote empowerment for the handicapped persons.

Sacedor also shared that the products are now being sold locally and internationally. She believed that is has high potential to create a new trend in bag-making as gifts and souvenirs in several occasions.

The RSW is a community-based facility that provides livelihood training and productive employment to PWDs to help them earn income. This involves producing and selling goods or services for income or profit. ### (FO-NCR, Social Marketing Office)
